Why not to be fat – reasons you never thought about

Let’s get it straight.

Most people want a slim body that is attractive to others, without blemishes, impurities, a wild fat distribution and toenails that look like the norm. But why?

Feeling good
No matter where you are on the ‘Nothing tastes as good as being skinny feels’ scale, you still want to feel good in your own body

Have fun with sport
It’s so much easier to move at a normal weight – and it can be fun to find out what kind of sport suits you

Choosing clothes according to what you like
-> instead of ‘What makes me slimmer? Where do you not see the rolls so much?’ it’s much more fun!

Pride: How did you manage that?
Everyone likes to hear that. You achieved something for you and your body, your future. That’s great.

Fitness in everyday life & on the board
Taking stairs with ease, an efficient pop-up and body control on the board – if there is still excess fat on it, everything becomes a little more cumbersome

Less disadvantages and discrimination
It shouldn’t be like this, but the reality is the same: Overweighted people are put at a disadvantage because of their obesity – they are labelled lazy, sluggish and taken less seriously – whether at the doctor, at work or in public areas

Your own body image changes
Looking in the mirror before leaving home could be a smile instead of self-doubt

But being a “not so fat” person anymore, there are more reasons not everybody can see or notice.
I personally noticed it very late after getting rid of a lot of bodyweight.

Unusual reasons you maybe never thought about

· Stomach is not in the way when tying shoes

· Less difficulty shaving – where there are fewer dents and bumps, it’s done much faster

· No self-deprecation – am I the fattest one here?

· Buying second-hand jeans- the choice is so much easier

· No more feeling of being too wide for bus and train seats

· You can feel the bones in your knees when you lie on your side

· There’s a gap somewhere between your thighs, right where the fat used to be

· Less sweating due to less friction of mass against each other

That’s a lot of reasons. Have you ever thought about some of these?
